Joshua Gerth

My passion for volleyball started during my high school years. I played casually during that time, playing mostly two-on-two beach or grass volleyball. In college I played and started for 3 years for the University of Northwestern St. Paul Men’s Club team. Then while in seminary I played and started for 2 years for the Bethel University Men’s Club team, my second year our team finished 5th at Nationals. As my kids grew and became interested in sports, I started to become interested in coaching. I have been coaching my daughters’ middle school teams for the past 4 years at North Heights Christian Academy. Last year was my first season with DIGS as an assistant coach for the 13-1’s team. I am excited for another season and another opportunity to help athletes grow as volleyball players, leaders, and Christians. I live in Vadnais Heights with my wife Jennifer and our four children: Magdalena (14), Lilian (13), Caleb (10), and Abigail (6). In addition to volleyball, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing disc golf, and playing board games.
