Club Teams Become Price of Admission to Youth Sports in Minnesota
An interesting article in the Star Tribune today talking about the recent importance of club sports in the state. They quote pricing for Northern Lights volleyball club in Burnsville from $2,230 to $4,775 for a single season not including camps and clinics.
They also report from a survey of 140 coaches:
- Volleyball and soccer lead the way when it comes to varsity athletes playing with offseason club or organized teams.
- Most varsity athletes in volleyball, soccer, basketball, hockey, softball and baseball spend as much time on their sport during the offseason as they do during the season.
