DIGS 17/18 Maroon
Coaches: Talana Rudzitis and Aaron Irvin

Coach Talana
Hi, I’m Coach Talana Rudzitis! I’ve been part of the DIGS Volleyball family for four seasons — one as an assistant coach and the last three as a head coach. I also serve as the head coach for the Coon Rapids Girls Volleyball program, where I’ve led for three seasons, and I’ll be heading into my second season as head coach for the Coon Rapids Boys Volleyball team this coming April.
Coaching is one of my greatest passions. I love the game, but even more than that, I love the opportunity it gives me to connect with and mentor young people. My goal as a coach goes beyond volleyball skills — I strive to help my players build character, develop mental toughness, and grow through life’s challenges.
My faith plays an important role in how I coach and lead. My life verse, Esther 4:14 — “Perhaps you were created for such a time as this” — reminds me that every season and every moment has a purpose. Just as Esther stepped into her calling with courage, I want to help my athletes recognize that they, too, have been placed in this time and place for a reason — to make an impact and to grow into who they were created to be.
Outside of volleyball, I’m a preschool teacher and a proud cat mom to three cats. Whether in the classroom or on the court, I love helping others learn, grow, and discover their strengths.

Coach Aaron
Hi, I’m Coach Aaron Irvin! I’m a personal trainer and fitness instructor at Xperience Fitness in Roseville, and I’m excited to be stepping into the world of coaching volleyball. I’ve always loved sports of all kinds, and I’m passionate about helping young people grow stronger — both physically and mentally.
This season, I’m looking forward to working with our athletes to improve their overall fitness, strength, and endurance. I’ll also be developing an all-team fitness program that players can use at home to continue building their skills off the court.
Outside of coaching, I work full-time in the human services industry for the State. When I’m not training or coaching, I’m spending time with my two puppies, Nova and Arlo.
My life verses come from Psalm 23, a reminder that no matter where life leads, we’re guided, strengthened, and cared for every step of the way.
