Gia Johnston

I’ve been coaching for over four years, with my first official experience starting at 18 when a few high school friends and I coached Fastpitch together. I found my way back into coaching when my kids began showing interest in sports, and it quickly reignited my passion for developing young athletes.

I love being on the court with the girls, watching them build their skills, grow as teammates, and discover their confidence. My goal as a coach is to keep the game fun while still encouraging competitiveness, accountability, and a coachable spirit. Most importantly, I hope to help these athletes grow not only in their sport but also in their relationship with the Lord.

This season, I’m excited to be fully devoted to the team, helping each player gain confidence, play hard, and enjoy every moment of the game.

 

Kari Smith

Kari Smith is an experienced and passionate volleyball coach with over five years of coaching experience. She is currently entering her third season at DIGS, where she has played a key role in developing young athletes and fostering a competitive, team-focused environment.

Throughout her coaching career, Kari has demonstrated a strong commitment to player growth—both on and off the court. Her coaching style emphasizes fundamentals, discipline, and teamwork, helping players build confidence and improve their skills at every level.

Kari brings energy, leadership, and a deep love for the game. She looks forward to another successful season at DIGS, hoping to inspire and support this generation of volleyball players.

Practice

When: Monday and Wednesday

Time: 4:00-6:00 (May change to 3:45- 5:45)

Location: Lord of Life Church-14501 CR-5, Ramsey, MN

Start and End Dates: December 1st to April 8th

No Practice: Dec 22nd-Jan 1st, Week of  March 23rd
