2023-24 Coaching Roster for DIGS
Leah Rudzitis is the DIGS Volleyball Club director with 30 years experience coaching JH/HS volleyball at Legacy Christian Academy, Mounds View High School, St. Anthony High School, and Crossfire Volleyball Club. She was the assistant coach on six MSHSL State Tournament teams (2000, 2001, 2002, 2005,2006, 2021). Leah has a BA in Physical Education K-12 from Bethel University, where she played collegiate volleyball and basketball, earning All Conference for both teams and named to multiple All Tournament teams. Leah was named Bethel’s Top Woman Athlete in 1987. Leah is married to Rolly Rudzitis, the Band/Choir teacher and Varsity Volleyball Coach at Legacy Christian Academy and the mother of nine children. Loves: My Creator, hanging out with my family, gardening, helping kids reach their full potential in all areas of life.
Rolly Rudzitis is the Varsity Head Coach at Legacy Christian Academy in Andover and is in his 28th year. He is in his 7th season of coaching at DIGS. Rolly brings over 40 years of experience coaching both High School and Club volleyball for numerous teams at every level. He has been voted MNVBCA Section 4A Coach of the year 4 times and Class A State Coach of the year in 2021. Rolly is married to Leah Rudzitis and together they have 9 children and 2 grandchildren. Rolly is also a professional musician, songwriter and worship leader.
Justina Glovatsky has been an avid volleyball player in high school and college, and served as an elite level team coach. She currently provides private lessons to athletes looking to accelerate their skills and performance on the volleyball court. Justina continues to be involved with tryout evaluations, special skill coaching and practice planning for the DIGS Volleyball Club.
Mariah Krosch has a BA degree from the University of Northwestern in Kinesiology and Health Science and Masters in interscholastic Athletic Administration from University of Ohio. She has been coaching at Legacy Christian Academy since 2017 as the 9th grade coach and assistant varsity coach. Mariah is entering her 6th season of coaching with the DIGS Volleyball Club.
Talana Rudzitis is the current Coon Rapids High School Varsity Head Coach. Talana’s coaching philosophy is: respect, determination, and hard-work are the keys to a successful player. Encouragement, strategy, and knowledge are the keys to a successful coach. Talana is entering her 2nd season of coaching with DIGS.
Tezra Rudzitis, current hitter at University of St. Thomas and Legacy Christian Academy alum, is entering her 2nd season of coaching with the DIGS Volleyball Club.
Steph Rudzitis is beginning her second year of coaching DIGS volleyball. Steph has her BA in elementary education and taught 6th grade and kindergarten. Currently, Steph is homeschooling her oldest child and has enjoyed staying home with her daughters. She enjoys playing as much volleyball as she can when time and babysitting allows. She is so excited to continue to coach with DIGS and help players grow in their skills.
Kaci Lynch played volleyball throughout high school for DIGS. She is currently attending the University of Minnesota Twin Cities for developmental psychology. This will be her second year of coaching for DIGS Volleyball Club.
Kari Smith is a first year coach with DIGS. She has her BA in Communications from Bethel University. She has been married for 21 years and has 5 children, including 2 daughters who love to play volleyball! She coached JO volleyball for MC Juniors in the early 2000’s and recently got back into coaching at Legacy Christian Academy with their Middle School JV team. She is excited to pour into the lives of these young players and help them grow in their volleyball skills on the court and life skills off the court.
Paige Fossland, a Coon Rapids HS alumni, played volleyball throughout all of her youth and high school years and continues to do so today! Her heart behind coaching is to share her passion and knowledge for the sport with her players. She will be in her first year of coaching for DIGS Volleyball Club.
Trevor Hegranes will be in his first year of coaching for DIGS Volleyball Club. He has over a decade of volleyball playing experience, and 2 years of coaching experience with MN Select (13-4s Co-Head Coach), Coon Rapids High School (JV Head Coach), and Eden Prairie High School (Boys Varsity Assistant Coach). Trevor is excited to join DIGS this season as a coach and embrace a new role.
Sydney Carlson joined the DIGS Volleyball Club in 2023.
